I like potato-based food.
My mom is a teacher. My dad worked in the office quite away from home. Mom drives to work. I couldn't remember what car. Usually, my brother remembers all the details when we were little kids. Anyway, dad rides his motorcycle to work because he wanted to avoid the traffic congestion.
Kindergarten starts at 8.30 am or something. Mom would wake me around 6.30 am and if I was too stubborn to open my eyes and get my ass off the bed, dad would have to carry me and my brother (see how strong my dad is!) to my babysitter's house just across our house. She is the nicest babysitter ever (possibly because she cooks well, she has many toys at her place, she is hygienic and I had two babysitters in my whole life; but the other one was abusive).
My babysitter is a real pro when it comes to chicken/beef/mutton gulai. And the potatoes are GREAT!

I went to school early in the morning during Standard 3. By 'early' means the school is still dark, no one was at the road and I was alone with my brother. We would wait for the schoolkeeper to open the big gates. We had to be at school very early in the morning because mom is a teacher and she, too, had to arrive at her school early especially when she's on duty. I was never surprised if I was the first person to enter the class and the class would the first to have its lights turned on.
And I'd go to the canteen and buy a pack of fries. It was 50 cent per pack, by then.

Despite having to be at the school very very early in the morning, I'd be the one who left the school very late in the evening. There were few times that I went home the same time the evening session students go home. It was really sad if it rained. Whenever mom couldn't fetch me on time, I'd be beside teacher's parking lot doing the homework alone (or, when I was lucky, with my best friend Marlene). When we didn't have homework to do, we'd be strolling around and buy food (or junk food) at the stalls nearby.
When I was in Standard 5, Marlene introduced me to this one type of food; begedil. I like that food since then. I am not sure if that's how you spell it.
I like potato-based food.
True story.
