to be young

Oh, to be young and to feel love's keen sting.

...

I am a no person to say things about relationship but as a person, I'd want to say that it is unfair for young people to abuse the word love. You meet a guy/girl for a week, fall in love with each other, confess using the 'L' word and abuse the word for several weeks (or days, maybe months) and break up.

It is obvious that you can't measure love according to the duration of relationship but honestly, how far does it go? In the end, you'll end up with someone else, won't you?

I know a person who'd been in a relationship for seven years and in the end, the guy announced that he was getting married with another girl. So, for the girl, was it seven years full of love or shitloads?

Personally, I think, if you think you love someone, you should consider the worst imaginable condition that could happen to that person. Would you leave or would you stay?

If s/he suddenly suffers from a terrible skin disease, leave or stay?
If s/he suddenly is declared bankrupt and becomes terribly poor, leave or stay?
If s/he suddenly involves in an accident and becomes a handicapped, leave or stay?
If s/he suddenly is accused in a crime that s/he didn't do, leave or stay?
If s/he suddenly lost his/her memory and suffers from it, leave or stay?
If his/her parent falls gravely ill and s/he has to assist/sacrifice for them, leave or stay?

There is always a reason when God says He created things in pair.
And you can always ponder about it somehow.

And these questions are not only meant for partners/soul mates/love-of-your-life but also for parents, children, best friends etc.

Food for thoughts.

On an unrelated note,

I'm starting a new job today. The job won't pay me at price but at least it pays me at time and experience. The money shall go to my book & travel fund. I still hope the job isn't a hassle and Mama convinced me that it shouldn't be that hard.

I'm going to work at a school's bookstore.

...

Until then.
