quickie

It's 5 o'clock in the morning, conversation got boring, you said you'd go into bed soon.

Actually, it's 6.20 am to be precise.
I've not slept yet and just finished watching MTV EMA Live Streaming via Hawa's Skype.
And trust me, our conversation wasn't boring but yes, I did mention I am pretty sleepy several times.

Anyhow,

  1. I need to congratulate Hawa because Big Bang won the Worldwide Act award from MTV EMA 2011. She'd been voting days and nights - refreshing all the time. And of course, to all K-Pop fans who'd been voting all along, congratulations.
  2. I need to thank Tiq for teaching and demonstrating me on uses of Photoshop. She's such a patient teacher because I ask a lot and rarely serious when it comes to acquiring skills.
  3. I find myself abusing my Photoshop CS2 since I know how to operate it basically.
  4. It's mid semester holiday now. We've nine-days break and a handful of assignments and project. I find myself working on completely unrelated project at home - baking cookies and brownies. It becomes quite a habit to fatten myself in between college break.
  5. I was updated recently that a friend of mine from Asasi just died. I'd rather not talk about it but I heard it was tragic. Of course, every death is a tragic. Al-Fatihah and prayers upon him, please. He's only 20.
  6. I didn't really celebrated my Aidiladha. My family basically spent the day at home - except for Dad and Brother who went to the mosque to pray and do some Qurban. I watched movies (Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and The Social Network) alone in my room and wore jubah for the whole day.
  7. I've Flavors.me account but I am not pretty sure whether I should share it here. To those who has my Facebook account, you might check the link from my Info. Others, just try and Google. Hehe.

Among of the projects/assignments that I must finish before the second half of the semester commence;
  • Literature for Children & Young Adults: Write an essay regarding moral values portrayed from any of the stories of Brother Grimm's Fairy Tale. I haven't planned which but I might consider something with no princesses.
  • Literature & Media: Write an essay on any attribution that signifies the comparisons between the two versions of the movie Of Mice and Men as well as the original piece by John Steinbeck. I slept through the recent version of the movie so I must work hard to find that copy. And I haven't finished reading the book. I am never gonna start the essay, yet.
  • Applied Phonetics & Phonology: Record an average Malaysian high school student reading a paragraph of a story (something about chasing a chicken or being chased by a chicken) and transcribe the recording. Explain according to the outline given. I am not ready for this. Maybe, err...what again?
  • Educational Psychology: Observe child's mental development and explain according to Piaget's or other theories learnt in class. I plan to observe Ara because she's not going to school. Might as well, she becomes my 'guinea pig' for the project.
  • Mandarin: Bring a picture of family members and present a story about them in class. Wo de baba shi jiashing. Wo de mama shi laoshi.
  • Debat Ko-kurikulum: Sediakan teks debat untuk Debat 211 jam yang akan berlangsung pada hujung November. This is, by far, one of the hardest homework. I find myself translating from English to Malay lately. THIS IS BAD FOR MY PRESENTATION.
  • Report Writing: Redo and recheck the drafts.

I've been listing these homework on my leg. Yes, thank you for asking. I adapted to the habit of taking down notes on my skin - mind you, lucky I have fair skin. I don't bring notebook everywhere and I write most of my lecture notes on A4 papers (which I also don't bring anywhere).

That's all I have. Goodnight/good morning and big balls.

True story.

footnote: I meant this post to be short but err, pardon me.
